オランダのデザイナー、カースティ・ヴァン・ノートさんは、素材のリサーチからデザインをスタートさせました。
彼女は採石場を訪れ、有田で利用される陶石が不純物を殆ど含まない極めて特別なものであることや、不純物を多く含む原料は全て廃棄されている現状を知りました。
そして、普段廃棄される不純物を多く含む陶石に着目し、自然から生み出される美しい色合いの陶土を開発しました。 コレクションの2つのシリーズは、独特の色彩と素材感を強調するように、シンプルな形状で構成されています。
コーヒーやお茶などの飲み物を有田焼の風合いを感じながらお家で楽しんでみてはいかがでしょうか。
Dutch designer Kirstie van Noort only started the design process following her own rigorous material research. Visiting the local quarry, she came to learn that the porcelain stone used in Arita contains hardly any impurities, a phenomenon extremely rare in itself and those that do are typically discarded. So, she chose to focus on the traditionally discarded impure porcelain stone and develop a clay with a beautifully nuanced hue, just as nature had intended. Both series in her collection highlight this unique colouring and the nature of the material while retaining an elegant simplicity of composition.
1.このシリーズは陶土を精製する際に産出する使い道のない物質や天然の原料が生み出す自然な色の美しさを追求し、コンセプトとしたシリーズです。
その為、原料を採取する鉱脈によって、成分のばらつきが起こり色味の誤差やムラなどの個体差が焼き上がりごとに生じます。また、小さな鉄粉や、ピンホールなども見られます。予めご了承ください。
2.食洗機・電子レンジ使用可
1. The designer, Kirstie van Noort pursued the beauty of natural colours found in waste materials during the clay making process. Therefore please note that each products are not perfectly the same. Pinholes, iron spots, or slight colour differences can be found in the series.
